Lisaks sisearhitektidele tulevad kokku erinevad ruumiga tegelevad professionaalid interdistsiplinaarsetelt tegevusaladelt.
SISU is a major event in the field of Estonian interior architecture and spatial design. The symposium has become a meeting place for recognized theorists and practitioners in the field of (interior) architecture from around the world.
In addition to interior architects, various professionals working with space from interdisciplinary fields come together. Each symposium is shaped and guided by a program curated specifically for the event.
Based on the knowledge and experiences created at the SISU symposium, the creative research journal SISU-LINE is compiled.

The 2026 interior architecture symposium TALGU TALK focuses on modes of collaboration, inviting participants to explore the boundaries between architecture, interior architecture, design, and construction through hands-on collective work.
How do we work together?
(Archi/interior archi)tecture and design are shifting away from individual authorship toward fields that increasingly support collective creation. Talgud is a form of collaboration from the pre-digital era that remains timeless in its authenticity. Traditionally, it was a way to involve the community in larger tasks such as harvesting crops, building barns, or rebuilding after a fire. The culture of talgud cultivates, among other things, voluntary agency and the right to ask for and receive help. Presence — here and now.
Ida-Euroopa, Baltimaade ja Skandinaavia talurahva kogukondadel on talgute jaoks sarnased nimetused: poola keeles Tłoka, ukraina keeles Toloka, leedu keeles Talka, soome keeles Talkoot ja rootsi keeles Talko. Otsetõlkes inglise keelest - kollektiivne eneseabi.
Ühendades Kirde-Euroopa kollektiivset mälu ja kultuuri, toob TALGU TALK kokku 30 talgulist kodust ja võõrsilt.
Across Eastern Europe, the Baltics, and Scandinavia, rural communities have similar terms for this practice: in Polish Tłoka, in Ukrainian Toloka, in Lithuanian Talka, in Finnish Talkoot, and in Swedish Talko. In direct translation — collective self-help.
Bringing together the collective memory and culture of Northeastern Europe, TALGU TALK gathers 30 participants from both local and international contexts.

PRAKTILIST
Talgud ja sümpoosion on kõigile osalejatele tasuta.
Muhu saarele saab Tallinnast bussiga (sihtpeatus: Liiva).
PRACTICALITIES
Talgud and the symposium are free for all guests. Students’ travel and other expenses are covered by the Erasmus+ or Nord+ scholarship.
Muhu island is reachable from Tallinn via bus (destination bus stop: Liiva). Participants will stay together in Tamse õppebaas, located on Muhu island. The space offers a simple and shared living setup, with accommodation organised in 6 to 8-person rooms and the hall. Participants are asked to bring their own sleeping bags and if possible, mattresses. There is also a big yard for setting up tents, if you want.
The building includes showers, sanitary facilities, and a fully equipped kitchen. Living together becomes part of the workshop experience — socialising, forming friendships, sharing daily rhythms.
For international participants, the workshop is organised as an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP). The Erasmus+ individual support is intended to cover travel, accommodation, and daily expenses during the programme.
